Curt Corum, Technical Sales Manager

As the technical sales manager for Air Handling Systems, Curt currently manages the sales staff responsible for thousands of clients throughout the entire United States. He has delivered problem-solving solutions for small shops as well as major corporations.

Curt has held several different positions with Air Handling Systems since starting there in 1977. Starting as a laborer Curt learned how to fabricate and install ductwork from an early age. He then evolved into sales in the mid 80’s. With his experience in the field, he quickly learned how the systems were designed. After designing thousands of systems, Curt, entered the position of Technical Sales Manager in the early 90’s.

Curt has been recognized as an industry leader in the field of dust and fume collection. Sandor Nagyszalanczy, author of " Woodshop Dust Control," thanked Curt for "kind and tireless help in educating him about the technical aspects of dust collection systems." Additionally, Rick Peters, author of " Controlling Dust in the Workshop" expressed gratitude to Curt for providing product and technical support and "especially for helping with the designing systems chapter." Curt has also authored, co-authored and served as technical advisor for several trade articles published by "Fine Woodworking", "Wood & Wood Products", "CWB", "Woodshop News", "FDM", and "Cabinetmaker", just to name a few.

Curt served as technical advisor for the installation of dust collection systems for both " The New Yankee Workshop" television show hosted by Norm Abram, and " This Old House" television show.

Curt has developed an extensive seminar on woodworking dust control, which he has presented at the TSI Expos Woodworking Show.

Most recently Curt was invited to participate in the "Dust Collections Systems: Maintenance & Control Panel" of experts at the AWFS show in Anaheim, CA.

Presently, Curt serves as a technical moderator for on online forum on Dust Collection, Plant Maintenance and Safety for the Woodweb, www.woodweb.com, which is an online source for woodworkers.

Curt received a BA degree in Political Science from Central Connecticut State University in 1981.
